A's Manaea no-hits sizzling Red Sox

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) Sean Manaea might've been the only person at the Oakland Coliseum who didn't realize he was still working on a no-hitter.

After a dropped popup in the fifth inning, the Athletics lefty figured it was over.

"I didn't even think about it until I looked up in the seventh or eighth," Manaea said, "and I was like, `Oh my God, why is there still a zero on there?'"

ChiSox P Farquhar has brain hemorrhage

CHICAGO (AP) White Sox reliever Danny Farquhar was in stable but critical condition Saturday, a day after suffering a brain hemorrhage while in the dugout during a game.

Farquhar passed out in the sixth inning Friday night after getting two outs against Houston. He was helped by team medical personnel and on-site EMTs, and regained consciousness before he was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

Yankees to call up top prospect Torres

NEW YORK (AP) Top prospect Gleyber Torres is being called up to the New York Yankees, a person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press.

The 21-year-old infielder will join the Yankees before Sunday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays, the person said Saturday, speaking on condition of anonymity because the decision had not been announced.

Ryu threw seven dominant innings to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 4-0 victory over the Washington Nationals on Saturday night.

Pujols, Trout homer as Angels end skid

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) It took a milestone hit by Albert Pujols to give the Los Angeles Angels their first lead of the week.

Pujols drove a go-ahead, two-run homer into the seats in right-center in the sixth inning for career hit No. 2,992 and the Angels beat the San Francisco Giants 4-3 on Saturday night to snap an ugly four-game losing streak.

Cruz's 100th HR at Texas helps M's win

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) Nelson Cruz hit consecutive pitches deep into the left-field seats at his former home. The first one was called foul. There was no question about the next swing.

Cruz hit the first of Seattle's three home runs, his 100th at the Rangers ballpark, and the Mariners went on to a 9-7 victory Saturday night.

ATLANTA (AP) A pair of perfectly placed ground balls helped the Atlanta Braves pull off an unexpected win over the New York Mets.

Johan Camargo tripled home the tying run, then scored on Ender Inciarte's bunt single as the Atlanta Braves scored twice in the ninth inning off Mets closer Jeurys Familia to beat New York 4-3 Saturday night.

Reddick has slam, solo HR as Astros roll

CHICAGO (AP) The Houston Astros and Josh Reddick just keep climbing - and pouring frustration on the Chicago White Sox.

Reddick hit a grand slam and a solo homer, and the Astros pounded the reeling White Sox 10-1 on Saturday night for their fifth straight win.
