Jets' Anderson gets probation for arrest

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson will serve six months of probation following a January arrest in Florida where authorities initially said he tried to speed away from police.

Broward County court records show Anderson pleaded no contest Wednesday to misdemeanor reckless driving as part of a deal with prosecutors. The 25-year-old had faced multiple charges, including a felony count of fleeing and eluding police. Those charges were previously dismissed.

A Sunrise police report shows Anderson's SUV was stopped after it ran two red lights and was swerving while traveling about 105 mph (170 kph) in a 45 mph zone.

Ex-Eagles snapper Dorenbos gets SB ring

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Former Philadelphia Eagles player and "America's Got Talent" finalist Jon Dorenbos is sharing in the Super Bowl magic despite not playing with the team last season.

The Eagles posted a video Thursday on Twitter of Dorenbos receiving a Super Bowl ring. Dorenbos was a popular figure in the Eagles locker room, known for his gregarious personality and for entertaining teammates with magic tricks.

Browns sign 2014 No. 2 pick OL Robinson

CLEVELAND (AP) The Cleveland Browns have signed offensive lineman Greg Robinson, a 2014 first-round draft pick with the Rams.

The 6-foot-5, 330-pound Robinson was the No. 2 overall pick that year out of Auburn. Robinson failed to live up to expectations with Los Angeles and was traded to Detroit before last season for a sixth-round pick.

Vick sells Florida home for $1.4M

ATLANTA (AP) Michael Vick, who recently accepted a coaching job in Atlanta, has put his Florida home on the market for $1.4 million.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports Vick's home in a gated community in Davie, Florida, has six bedrooms and seven baths on 6,295 square feet.

Ex-GM Whaley named NFLPA scouting head

WASHINGTON (AP) Former Buffalo Bills general manager Doug Whaley is taking over as the NFL Players Association's director of college scouting.

Whaley will oversee the recruitment, evaluation and selection of draft-eligible prospects to compete at the annual NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. He replaces Tony Softli, who left to become the Alliance of American Football's scouting director.

Giants assistant GM Abrams gets VP title

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) The New York Giants have added the title of vice president of football operations to the duties of assistant general manager Kevin Abrams.

General manager Dave Gettleman, who is undergoing treatment for lymphoma, made the announcement Wednesday. Abrams has been with the Giants since 1999.

Vikings to induct Green in Ring of Honor

EAGAN, Minn. (AP) The Minnesota Vikings will induct former head coach Dennis Green into their Ring of Honor this season.

The Vikings announced Monday they'll hold a halftime ceremony with Green's family during their Sept. 23 game against Buffalo. Green died at age 67 in 2016.

Cowboys DL Irving banned 4 games again

FRISCO, Texas (AP) Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman David Irving was suspended for four games Friday for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy, the second straight year the pass rusher is facing a ban to start the season.

The punishment announced by the league will not keep Irving from participating in training camp starting next month in California. The 24-year-old Irving's four-game suspension to start last season was for violating league policy on performance enhancers.

Winslow Jr. pleads not guilty to rape

VISTA, Calif. (AP) Former NFL tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. was jailed without bail Friday after pleading not guilty to multiple counts of kidnapping, rape and other charges.

The 34-year-old Winslow was ordered to return to San Diego County Superior Court on June 25 for a preliminary hearing.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) The Philadelphia Eagles are sporting some bling to commemorate their Super Bowl victory.

Players, coaches and organization members received their rings during a red-carpet party in Philadelphia on Thursday night.
